The Action Mobility Story

Enriching Lives and Supporting Health & Safety at Home

At Action Mobility, our empathy and passion for what we do is reflected in the kind of service we give. We have firsthand knowledge of how a disability can impact the quality of life for individuals and their families. Six years ago Diane’s father, Keith Slater, was diagnosed with ALS and given 6 months to live. Her father’s determination to continue living and to refuse to let his diagnosis cause him to give up hope was a large part of Diane and Robert’s decision to enter into the home health field.

Originally located in Kitchener, they moved the business home to Guelph in June of 2012, when they moved in with Diane’s parents in order to keep Keith, now in a power wheelchair and breathing with the help of a ventilator, living at home. We understand from a customer’s point of view the challenges for people and their families trying to lead their lives while managing a disability, and we’re here to help you help yourselves.
